How can you help?
Funding is needed to fund the expenses
for volunteer teachers, physical therapists and occupational
therapists to go to Greece during the summer of 2007 to work with
children and young adults with special needs. Funding will be used
to underwrite teachers travel, lodging and other expenses during the
two week sessions. Additionally funding will be used to purchase
materials to be used during the summer day camp program. Materials
include arts and crafts materials, active games, musical
instruments, sensory motor manipulatives, and other necessary
supplies.
Ways Partners can
Support the Program:
Cash
Donations:
Individuals or companies can donate cash to Holy Trinity Greek
Orthodox Church. This donation will be used towards the overall cost
of the program. All cash donations made to the
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church are tax deductible. Individuals
may also make donations directly to the program at Tempe School
Credit Union, account number 51651.
Company
Grants:
Many companies manage grant programs, which support a number of
community-based organizations. Company’s who wish to donate to this
project can do so through a formal grant application process with a
formative evaluation provided after the completion of the program.
Cause-related Marketing:
Your company can donate a specific percentage of sales of a product
during a specific time frame to the Summer Day Camp Program. This
type of partnership will drive consumer interest to your product,
knowing the proceeds benefit a worthy cause.
In-kind
Donations:
In-kind contributions primarily include items, products, or services
that are provided free of charge the Summer Day Camp Program.
Products and services could include such as printing, auction/raffle
items, consulting, and other resources that result in significant
savings or revenue generation for the program.
Special
Events:
Many companies and organizations host gala events, golf tournaments,
holiday festivities, or other events throughout the year. Adding a
component to the event that supports the program would not only
increase employee enthusiasm and morale around the event, but also
generate meaningful financial contributions to the disabled children
in Greece.
